At Orcas Montessori we place a high value on the quality of our food and the mealtime experiences of our children. We source high quality foods, follow excellent guidelines on nutrition and aim for a variety of colors, textures and flavors.

We offer breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Children are encouraged to participate in mealtimes as 'lunch helpers' by setting tables with care. They clean up after themselves by clearing their tables and scraping their plates.

Each lunchtime begins with a moment of silence for everyone gathered to prepare themselves for the meal. They then help themselves to food which is always served family-style.
